Runner's Toolkit

Free tools to help you learn the cards, understand the rules, and improve your game.

What is Android: Netrunner?

Android: Netrunner is an asymmetric two-player card game set in a cyberpunk future. One player is the Corp, building remote servers, defending them with ICE (think firewalls), and trying to score agendas. The other is the Runner, hacking into those servers to steal the agendas. Every decision is a resource calculation: clicks, credits, and cards are finite.

The game is now published by Null Signal Games, a non-profit fan organisation that has continued developing new cards and running organised play since Fantasy Flight Games discontinued the game in 2018.

How to use this trainer

My decks

Paste your Corp and Runner decklists here. Supports standard NetrunnerDB format — one card per line with 3x Card Name or just Card Name. Save each deck separately. The Flashcards tab can use these lists as its card pool when you select "My decks" mode. Once saved, a Deck Analysis dashboard is available below the editors, with panels covering ICE composition, agenda density, breaker coverage, memory usage, install curve, and influence spend.

Flashcards

Flashcard-style card recognition drill with no pressure. Two modes: Art first shows card artwork on the front — think about what it does, then reveal the oracle text. Name first shows only the card name — think about what it looks like, then reveal the full card image. Rate yourself — Knew it, Unsure, or Blank. Cards you struggle with come up again in a second pass. Use the pool controls to drill just your decks, a specific cycle, or filter by type and faction. Your ratings persist between sessions.

Challenge

A levelled card knowledge tracker across the Standard card pool. Six levels follow the sets in order: System Gateway → Elevation → Vantage Point → Ashes Cycle → Borealis Cycle → Liberation Cycle. Hit Study on any level to drill its cards — rate each one as Knew it, Unsure, or Blank. A three-colour progress bar tracks your knowledge for each set. Once you have unsure or blank cards, a Review weak button appears to drill only those. All ratings persist between sessions and all levels are accessible from the start.

Glossary

A glossary of the rules and strategic concepts most important for tournament preparation, co-created with Claude AI. Entries cover Mechanics (precise rules definitions), Concepts (established community strategy vocabulary), and Factions (playstyle overviews of all seven main factions). All mechanics entries have been cross-referenced against the current NSG Comprehensive Rules. Use the filter buttons or search to find terms, and follow See also links to explore related entries.

Play helper

An interactive guide to how turns and runs work in Netrunner. Turn structure shows the Corp and Runner turn phases side by side. Run structure is an interactive flowchart — tap YES or NO at each decision point to follow the path of a run in real time. Useful for new players learning why a run plays out the way it does.

The Run Log

Track your milestones as you grow as a Netrunner player. Toolkit nodes fill automatically — the rest are self-reported on the honour system. Tap any node to mark it.

Card artwork and oracle text are sourced from the NetrunnerDB v3 API. All card text and artwork remains the property of Null Signal Games and Fantasy Flight Games respectively. This tool is a fan project by CamZhu for personal use. Any feedback or comments: camzhu [at] pm.me

Identity Bar

The coloured bar at the top shows your identity card, which defines your faction, your influence limit, and any special ability that applies for the whole game. The colour is unique to each faction. If you see a prompt to include your identity, paste the full NetrunnerDB export (including the identity line at the top) and save again.

ICE Composition (Corp)

Shows how your ICE is distributed across the three main subtypes: Barrier (broken by Fracters), Code Gate (broken by Decoders), and Sentry (broken by Killers). A healthy ICE suite typically has a mix of all three. A deck with only Barriers is vulnerable to a Runner with a single efficient Fracter. "Other" covers ICE that doesn't fit a standard subtype.

Agenda Density (Corp)

Shows your agendas, their advancement requirements, and two probability figures. "2+ agendas in 5-card HQ" tells you how likely the Runner is to see multiple agendas if they run HQ on turn one. Above 50% starts to feel uncomfortable. "Runner wins from 18 R&D accesses" is a benchmark figure used in the community to compare agenda suites. It estimates how resilient your suite is to a Runner who just hammers R&D all game. Lower is better for the Corp.

Breaker Coverage (Runner)

Shows whether your deck has an answer for each ICE subtype. Barrier, Code Gate, and Sentry each need at least one breaker. If a row shows ⚠ None, you have no dedicated answer for that ICE type and will need to rely on AI breakers or find another way through (bypass effects, derez, etc.). AI breakers are shown separately as they cover all subtypes but are often less efficient.

Full Memory Usage (Runner)

Runners start with 4 memory units (MU). Every program you install uses some of that memory. This panel shows how much MU your full rig would require if every unique program was installed simultaneously. If the total exceeds 4MU you will need hardware or other cards that provide extra memory, otherwise you won't be able to have everything installed at once. Note: this assumes one copy of each program, since you would rarely install duplicates.

Install Curve

A histogram of the install costs across all installable cards in your deck (ICE, assets, programs, hardware, resources, upgrades). The average cost is shown above. A curve that peaks at 0 to 2 credits suggests a fast, aggressive deck. A curve that peaks at 4 to 6 credits suggests a slower, more powerful late-game deck that needs time to set up. Neither is inherently better as it depends on your strategy.

Influence

Each identity has an influence limit (usually 15). Cards from other factions cost influence to include, equal to the number of pips on the card. This panel shows only the cards that are actually spending influence (i.e. cards whose faction differs from your identity's faction). The bar at the top fills towards your limit. If it turns red, your deck is over the legal limit and needs adjusting.
